Yield
Serves 60 (serving size: 1/4 teaspoon)
This is no ordinary seasoned salt! Sprinkle this Porcini Salt on food right before serving to add concentrated umami flavor with a bit of crunch and funk. We especially like seasoning grilled steak with this salt.
Ingredients
- Dried porcini mushrooms
- Maldon sea salt flakes
How to Make It
Working in batches, grind 1 ounce dried porcini mushrooms to a fine powder in a spice grinder. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons Maldon sea salt flakes to a final batch; finely grind. Combine with previously ground porcini. Store in an airtight container up to 2 months.
